Privacy, in plain language
Room Match is built to need as little about you as possible.
What we store
Your first name, the interests you picked, the line you wrote about yourself, and your selfie if you added one. That's it. No email, no password, no account.
How we know it's you
One cookie on your device, holding a random id. It isn't linked to anything else and we don't use it to track you anywhere beyond this app.
Who sees what
Your selfie is shown only to the person you matched with. The big screen shows first names and initials, never photos. Nobody outside the room sees your profile.
The matching
Your tags and your one line are sent to a language model through OpenRouter to work out who in the room you'd most want to meet. Nothing else is sent — not your selfie, not your cookie.
How long we keep it
A room and everyone in it can be deleted by the person who created it at any time. Event data is cleared after the event.
No tracking
No analytics, no advertising, no third-party cookies, nothing sold or shared.
